The City of Auburn's 2026-2027 Downtown Sculpture Gallery showcases outdoor sculptures of various sizes, types and mediums. Primarily located along Main Street, the sculpture gallery changes annually providing different artwork for Auburn residents to experience and enjoy. Newly installed sculptures are now on display.
The Downtown Sculpture Gallery was partially funded through Local Revitalization Financing funding received from the State of Washington and 4Culture King County Lodging Tax.
Visitors and locals alike will be invited to vote for their favorite sculpture for the annual People's Choice Award. The recipient of the People’s Choice Award will be announced in August 2027 and the award includes a $500 prize. Voting will be opening up soon and will remain open until the end of July 2027.

Statement: A bloom rises out of the rusty ruins of a clock. There's still time.

Location 2: A Street SW & Main
Statement: Blue Heart is a reflection on loss and the mending that happens as we move forward with something missing.

Title: Open Your Heart

Statement: Let the delicate blue butterflies remind us to open our hearts to hope, transformation, and vulnerability.

Title: Kingfishers
Location 4: W Main Street & S Division Street
Statement: The active, high energy of Kingfishers was the impetus to capture their energy and flight patterns in a sculpture.

Title: Continuum
Location 5: W Main Street & S Division Street
Statement: Continuum is a piece without a beginning or an end, an irregular shape that returns to itself. It is both solid and transparent, its structure is visible and elemental to the piece. The form sits on a steel base, grounded/covered with natural pigment that I found on my travels in the west. The Orange is from Utah and the yellow is from Nevada.

Title: Salvaged Beam Acrylic Reflector
Location 6: 10 E Main Street
Statement: Reflector 001 is a contemporary totem that draws the sky into the urban landscape, inviting moments of reflection amid the rhythm of the city. Designed to counter the tunnel vision of everyday movement, it reconnects passersby with what lies above.

Title: Knowing Descendent
Location 7: 10 E Main Street
Statement: Knowing Descendant is a human scale mixed media sculpture. The structure is visually balanced between solid and transparent, darkness and lightness.

Statement: Contemplation captures the tension between weight and balance, inviting a pause to consider one’s place in the world. Its stacked forms suggest layers of experience, each holding a moment of stillness.

Title: Akitsu Dragonfly Lantern
Location 9: B Street Plaza
Statement: These lanterns honor the Black Petaltail - a distinctive, ancient looking Dragonfly native to the Pacific Northwest. Dragonflies are closely tied to aquatic biomes, serving as bio-indicators of healthy wetlands in Pacific Rim landscapes.

Title: Mountain Bouquet

Statement: Mountain Bouquet is a two-sided aluminum sculpture painted in a deep blue gradient. A dimensional mountain casts shadows across the surface. Floating flower petals, a luminous full moon, and imagery of flowering tree create stillness and seasonally across both sides

Statement: Silver Song is fabricated aluminum. It demonstrates the fascination I have with hummingbirds and their majesty of flight.

Title: The Distance Between Us
Location 12: Auburn Way S & Main
Statement: The Distance Between Us invites reflection on the emotional, conceptual, and perceptual gaps that shape how we understand one another and the world around us. Viewed from different angles, the sculpture gradually reveals its separate yet connected panels, suggesting that no single perspective can fully capture the complexity of a person or idea—and that some distance always remains.

Statement: Mobalisk is a sculpture that is composed of geometric forms in various states of equilibrium, it invites viewers to contemplate the tension and unity that define our existence. This piece challenges us to find stability amidst disorder and to appreciate the elegance of impermanence.
