Community Programs

Community Programs, also known as Administrative Services consists of one Commander, a Sergeant, a Training/Accreditation Manager, a Muckleshoot Indian Tribe Liaison Officer, two Animal Control Officers, four Bicycle Patrol Officers and four Community Response Team Officers. Within Community Services are the Auburn Police Department's Volunteer Program, and many other services and programs for citizens to become involved in.

Disposal of Unwanted and Expired Medicines

Learn about our program for the secure disposal of unwanted and expired medicines and implements, including sharps.


Citizens Academy

The Citizen's Academy is a 12-week program. Classes are free! Participants meet in the evening once a week to learn about and interact with Police Department employees, from the Chief to the Volunteer Program coordinator. Get dates and times for next class and registration information.


Crime Prevention

Information on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), starting a neighborhood block watch program, improving the security of your home, and other things citizens can do to keep their homes, vehicles and families safe.


Graffiti Abatement Program

To encourage property owners to take action, the City of Auburn and AgriShop Ace Hardware have come up with a different idea -- one that lets the property owner, government and private business work together to address the problem and help keep Auburn neighborhoods vibrant and graffiti-free.
