Options for the pre-school age are abundant in Auburn and include Indoor Playground at the Gymnasium at Les Gove Park, Arts & Crafts classes, dance, music, pre-school sport programs, parent-participation programs and much more. Programs and classes vary with each new registration session.

Bring your crafty crawler to this exciting, semi-structured class! We’ll sing, read books, move around, explore crafts, paint, free play, and more. An amazing opportunity to help your child develop fine motor and social skills!

Play with your food! In this hands-on class, little ones will get creative by crafting their own edible masterpieces! From "Ants on a Log" to animal-themed fruit trays, we’ll turn snack time into art time. In addition to food related fun, littles will enjoy a variety of activities including crafts, sensory play, storytelling, painting, and free play.

Movement Classes Ages 3-5

This is an intro to ballet and creative movement class. Little ones are provided with the opportunity to practice tiptoeing, twirling, stretching, and dancing. We will cultivate a love for movement in a supportive environment while introducing basic ballet poses and movements.
Little Warriors | Thursdays | 11:00-11:45AM | *Registration opens November 24
Let’s run, crawl, tumble, balance, and stretch in this gymnastics-inspired Ninja Warrior class! Packed with obstacle courses, upbeat music, and creative movement, kids will explore tumbling techniques, balance challenges, and fun gymnastics skills in an action-filled environment.

Pre-school Sports
An introduction for you and your toddler to the world of sports. You and your child participate together in fun, age-appropriate activities that help your child develop their large motor skills and socialization skills.

Kids Playtime
Location: Auburn Community and Event Center
Fee: $10 for 2 hours of care
Do you need a couple of hours to yourself, have an appointment, or want to meet up with a friend and do not have a sitter? We can help! Bring your child, ages 2-10 to our drop-in childcare program and we will keep them entertained and safe. All staff have undergone a National Background Check. Two hours of care for $10.
Call the Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Office at 253-931-3043 for specific times and days. Times and days coordinate with fitness classes and may change quarterly. Staff are unable to change children’s clothing. View full fitness schedule.
